Application Process

There is a rigorous selection process when we admit students to VIA, due to the fact that we keep the number of students in each classroom low to provide individual attention. We ensure that the appropriate atmosphere for learning and respect. Therefore, only students with impeccable records will be considered. In addition, our school is committed to building a community, and it is essential to build a relationship with all stakeholders to promote social cohesion. Therefore, our admissions process attempts to gather a holistic picture of each applicant.

Once the application form and report card/ Cambridge Certificate have been received, an invitation for a benchmark assessment will be sent to the parents.

An application fee of R1500.00 is payable before the benchmark assessment. Once the candidate has completed the benchmark assessment, the parents will be notified.

High School students are expected to spend a day at VIA to experience the Cambridge education for themselves before making a final decision. We also need time to ascertain whether or not the prospective student will excel here where taking responsibility for behaviour and academic progress is vital. If your child is accepted, the Good Faith Deposit is payable within the stipulated time to secure their place at Village International Academy.
